Kick up your heels with Community Caregivers at their Harvest Hoedown on October 27th at Waukewan Golf Club beginning at 6:30, sponsored by Meredith Village Savings Bank.

“Please join us for an evening of good music, food, and other entertainment as we celebrate our 20th anniversary!” stated Ann Sprague, Executive Director.

Doors will open at 6:30pm with music beginning at 7:00pm. The “Just Because” Band, an acoustic trio based in Ashland and Holderness, will play an eclectic assortment of Americana cover tunes, bluegrass and some original music sung in three-part harmonies. Band members are Ed Bernard on guitar, banjo and vocals, Louise Bernard on bass and vocals, and Marty Pelletier on mandolin, guitar and vocals.

Heavy hors d’oeuvres, courtesy of The Mug which is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, will include such themed food items as chili, pulled pork sliders, chicken fingers, pigs in blankets, bread pretzels and chips and salsa. A cash bar will be available to enjoy your favorite beverage.

Each guest will receive a free Harvest Hoedown gift. A variety of free door prizes will be given away, including an overnight stay at Mill Falls at the Lake, gifts cards from Home Comfort and other businesses, and more.

Celebrating 20 years of service this year, Interlakes Community Caregivers, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit volunteer organization that provides rides and other services to assist residents of Meredith, Moultonborough, Center Harbor and Sandwich to be self-sufficient and remain living in their own homes, whether for a long-term period to age in place or for a short-term period to recuperate from surgery or illness.  Services are provided free of charge and the nonprofit does not receive any federal funding. In the past year, Community Caregivers volunteers provided 2,659 services, drove 51,654 miles and donated almost 4,000 hours helping 353 residents of Meredith, Moultonborough, Center Harbor and Sandwich.
